A Busy Weekend and Wonderful Mail

I can't believe I haven't had a moment to spare these last four days. Normally, my life just isn't this busy.

On Thursday we went North for a concert and stayed the night. Arriving home late Friday afternoon, I checked the mail and there was a parcel from Rachael, my matchbox swap partner. I was in such a hurry to check it out I didn't even bother to unpack first.

I opened the parcel and there was a beautiful handmade card using a flower fairy which are my favourite fairies. She chose the Kingcup for my initial.
The matchbox was wrapped in the prettiest pink paper with a beautiful rose sticker and lovely rose lace trim. Yummy!

A lovely decorated box adorned with rose needlepoint, ribbon beaded fringe, pink rick rack and a delicate rose fabric on the back and lining the box.
And then, all the wonderful treasures the little box contained. Vintage baby buttons, a silver glitter vintage bird, three pink crochet flowers, vintage lace tied with a ribbon rose, beautiful pink lace with bead fringe tied with a rhinestone button, and three rose cigarette cards. I have heard about these cards, but have never seen one before. And last a wonderful shabby rose, I have a project in mind already for the lovely rose.
It is amazing how Rachael enclosed items that suited me so well. Thank you my new cyber friend for all the wonderful goodies.
