Work and Play

This past week was full of all the usual boring things that need to be done, but it was sprinkled with some fun and interesting times.
I got to start working on my birdhouses for Karla and Beth's Bling your Birdhouse
Birdhouses
and I had a wonderful day out with two of my friends for lunch. We went to a place called The Dutch Mill. They had a wonderful buffet and a beautiful gift shop

The huge gift shop was set up very nicely. Antiques were used to showcase the items for sale. Lots of old stoves and some antique washing machines.

They also used other interesting items as well
Various Displays
And of course I had to buy this Christmas wreath for 50% off

The Dutch Mill looks like our Cracker Barrel Restaurant- antique inspired gift store, and in nice weather, they have rocking chairs out on the porch.

I can't wait to see your birdhouses- love all those pastel colors!

Look how fabulously your birdhouses are coming along! Can't wait to see them all blinged out. That looks like just the best bloggy event.

How lovely to have such a nice day out. The gift shop looks like a great place to happily spend the day browsing amongst all the pretties.

Glad you liked the felt rose tutorial. If you do give it a try, I would love to see!
