Bling Your Birdhouse

Today is the day to unveil our blinged birdhouses. Karla and Beth are hosting a challenge to take a birdhouse and bling it up. Then post a comment on one or both of their blogs including your blog address.

I had started painting about 5 different bird houses and then decided to just work on this bigger one. I haven't decided where I'm going to put it yet, but it definitely won't be going outside.

I tried a new technique (for me) of using one ply of a paper napkin with Golden gel. It didn't turn out too bad, but I did have a backup plan if the napkin didn't work. I also didn't have enough pink paper roses so I used white and highlighted them with pink pearlescent ink.

So here is my contribution for
"Bling Your Birdhouse"

birdhouse
I had a wonderful time decorating this little house

You did a great job with the napkins- they are so tidy and even and smooth. I love that shade of pink- is it something like Bubble Gum pink or Poodle Pink? I was picking out craft paint the other day and laughing at the names of some of the colors.

You can't beat pink and pearls! That's so pretty. I once decoupaged a table top using one ply tissues. It was tissues with hydrangeas on them. A lady bought it for her little girls bedroom. ~ Lynn
